Bosnia and Herzegovina, a beautiful Balkan nation in Southeast Europe, is rich in culture and natural landscapes. However, the legacy of the 1992–1995 war and genocide continues to impact its people. The conflict displaced half the population, destroyed infrastructure, and left deep emotional and economic scars.
Despite recent growth in tourism, poverty and unemployment remain high, especially among the youth. The country’s complex governance system, established by the Dayton Peace Agreement, makes reform and public service delivery challenging.
Still, the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina remain resilient — rebuilding their lives and communities with hope for a peaceful and prosperous future.
